Jardin Botanique de Montreal (Montreal Botanical Garden) In Canada
The Montreal Botanical Garden is a botanical garden in Quebec, Canada, with 75 hectares of thematic gardens and greenhouses. Due to the extent of its facilities and collection, it is one considered one of the world’s most important botanic gardens. It has four gardens, and the Chinese Garden is the largest one of its kind outside China. Another attraction here is the Lion monument.
The garden was founded in 1931, in the height of the Great Depression, by mayor Camillien Houde, after years of campaigning by Brother Marie-Victorin. The grounds were designed by Henry Teuscher, while the Art Deco style administration building was designed by architect Lucien F. Kéroack.
It looks so unreal! Lucky you to visit that gorgeous place.
