The weekend was our first visit to Whitby in Yorkshire.

The landing place of Count Dracula in Bram Stoker's 1897 book, when Dracula's ship the Demeter runs aground here.

Dracula is a Gothic novel and Whiby fits the Gothic scene perfectly.

    Whitby’s in Yorkshire, right? My friends from Yorkshire are always banging on about how great it is up there and although I haven’t been to Whitby, I did find York beautiful.

    Great pics, @s0u1, makes me want to head up there for a weekend away!

    Yes Yorkshire. It is a great place to visit and we visited on a Steampunk weekend so it was even more entertaining.
