Travels with Rob: Checking out the Skeena
Just went for a short drive today. I shot some video that I’ll try and post later if I like it but for now thought I’d share a couple photos.
Headed east of Prince Rupert, British Columbia, on highway 16, off of Kaien Island and towards the Skeena River. It was chilly and trying to rain, for better or worse. Ended up only stopping a couple of times to take pics as it wasn’t an ideal travel day. But still, it was nice to get out of town, if only for an hour.
These pics are from iPhone 8, taken at a view point where the Skeena River empties into the Pacific Ocean.
Love how these trees are all blown over below the bluff I was on.
Headed back towards Rupert after my short stop here and had to stop at a viewpoint to take a couple of pics, it was just really pretty. This spot had no name or information attached that I could find but it was immediately west of the Rainbow Mountain summit.
Anyway, it was a nice short trip out. I saw a couple of spots I want to stop at next time I head out that will provide some cool photography (need to remember to bring my camera next time).
