Ecuador Diaries: Wood Carving Workshop
One of the stops on the train journey from Otavalo to Salinas was San Antonio de Ibarra, a small town in northern Ecuador known for its wood carving workshops. We visited one of these workshops that specializes in religious carvings.
Good to see some great craft mans skills nowadays in a world of machinery and computers. Our hands are made for complex tasks. Combined with creative ideas and a warm heart art evolves. This work shop doesn't look much different to a work shop in Europe.
