We arrive to the reservoir after 2 hours from the town of San Jose del Maipo, the Tinoco tunnel and the Las Cascaras refuge.

The cajón del Maipo is the basin of the Maipo River, the most important in the Metropolitan Region. Its water bathes the entire area, provides water and allows the vegetation that characterizes them in the valley. The Mapocho River, which crosses Santiago from East to West, is for example an arm of that same Maipo River. That is why the area also has an irregular geography, a unique beauty of which is in love and manage to take lots of photographs to make several walks, walks in nature, , among others.
