Beautiful Spring day - visiting the park and the Japanese gardens....

enjoying the wonderful weather visited the Japanese gardens inside the park in Hamburg, Germany

this monument represents the friendship between the two harbor cities: Hamburg in Germany 🇩🇪 and Yokohama in Japan 🇯🇵

what you might think is a skulpture in reality is a sunclock and also a “time capsule” - with photos, newspapers, letters, etc. which were archived. The “time capsule” will be re-opened in the year 2026 and then finally in the year 2076!
