2,000 Years Old Rice Terraces at Banaue in the Philippines
Blissful experience visiting these ancient rice terraces which some say that are over 2,000 years of age and also called the "Eighth Wonder Of The World."
Borne out of necessity to have areas for planting rice, the people of Banaue painstakingly carved their mountainous topography and create this wonder of the world.
(Loving how the layers of clouds are hugging the mountains)
The varieties of rice being tilled in these areas are the delicious kinds called heirloom or aromatic rice and are better priced than the common rice varieties. So preserving the area means continued supply of these excellent varieties of rice which locals to this day are still planting & harvesting on the terraces so that they can provide food for their family.
The Top Viewpoint of Batad Village where I did my meditation for a week.

Went on an adventure around Batad Village where I stumbled upon a 32 feet waterfall called Tappiya Falls.
