My first time flying
I had my first ever airplane ride two years ago. Quite late, maybe.
Before we travel mainly by land. Then me and my friends decided to fly off to Cebu, Phillippines for our thanks giving holiday getaway.
I was quite excited and nervous. Luckily my friends and boyfriend @agentgraham were so supportive and happy for me. They kept me calm and ready.
When we boarded we failed to check in online so I was not able to get a window seat. Oh no! And my seat got separated from them. I'm at that time very nervous. My boyfriend's seat is in front of me and the seat beside him is still vacant, we asked the stewardess if I can move to the seat beside him. They said they'll advise me since the passenger may still come.
Thank God they allowed me to switch seats since it that person never showed up.
So he was holding my hand all along when the plane took off. And he said as expected I enjoyed the ride since I'm quite a fan of trilling rides.
I was fascinated about how tiny the islands below were, how the city looks so small and distant. I liked how the clouds pass by and how I feel so relaxed at just looking at them.
Then they served the snacks. Oh I love snacks.
Then we encountered some turbulence due to big clouds. We literally jumped off the chair, thanks to the seat-belts I did not fall off my seat.
I was so thrilled that they said, that big of a turbulence is quite scary. I thought it was normal though. :D Sorry.
My ear started to ring at some point. It's normal they say.
It was an hour flight.
Then comes the landing. I feel like riding a thrilling amusement park ride and your stomach starts to feel some tingling sensation.
We landed safely and I enjoyed my first flight and I will definitely check in online before the flight to get the best seats (by the window) and to be seated with my friends.
So if you have not rode a plane before don't be embarrassed nor afraid. I'm glad I was able to experience it first at my 20's than my childhood where I can fully remember and appreciate this experience.
Small things like these are to be cherished and they matter.
So go and try a new experience you always wanted to do. Check that from your bucket list. And enjoy every moment of it.
More of our Cebu adventure coming soon.
I have a fear of heights that's why I don't do air travel. Hahaha XD
wherever you are comfortable go for it. :)
Have fun with your adventures! I am sure another awesome post will come after this :)
yes, will post that hopefully soon. thanks for the support. :)
I'm looking forward to it! :)
try to visit mactan shrine at night maam @robiney... it's a nice place located in mactan lapu-lapu city, not so far from mactan airport.
thanks. yes, will do next time. we plan to go back since there are so many beautiful places to visit. :)
So true maam... Especially if you try to witness our Sinulog festival this coming Sunday i can assure you will really like it.
It's a good experience, :) but after some time, especially in a longer trip, you'll easily get bored!
I guess so. so far have not tried that yet. but I'm looking forward to that. :)
be sure to bring something to eat and buy drinks before departure and bring your own entertainment like music, movies or a book. :)
thanks for the advice. will sure do. hopefully I can have it within 2018. :D
I hope to see your story here :)
thanks. yes i'll post it if that happens. :)
There is always a first time for everything. My first flight was more than a decade ago but I still can remember the excitement and at the same time, nervousness.
