Mexico 2011 - A Life Changing 2 Weeks

The year is 2011 and me and the was then girlfriend had worked our butts off to afford a nice little luxury holiday in a 5* hotel in Mexico. We decided to really splash the cash and go all inclusive in this 5*resort.

I had worked a little harder and saved a little extra away to myself but we will save that until a little bit further down in this blog.

The weather in Mexico was unreal. it was so hot and humid that it brought the occasional storm but this just made the experience better.

This was the amazing view from the bar overlooking the pool. As you can see how amazing that looks, makes me instantly want to return, even now 6 years late.

One thing i learnt whilst out in Mexico was how amazing the people out there are. the staff who work in the resort love their jobs and no doubt don't get paid as much as they should, as they go out of their way to give you the best experience possible. this is shown by the picture above which is a piece of towel art done by the maids every day when they cleaned the rooms.

We went out on a few little trips to really see the culture of Mexico which was amazing.

and we also got a little close and personal with the local wildlife
