Travel with me to Pitlochry, Scotland (75 image gallery)
This was my favorite city out of all of the places we visited. It had a charming downtown and the hostel we stayed in was right downtown, walking distance to the local theater, pubs, and shopping. The town is served by two distilleries, Edradour(my personal favorite in all of Scotland) ans well as the Blair Athol Distillery which I did not get to visit. I guess I'll have to book another trip!
I would move here in a heartbeat. The people were all very nice and I think after living there for a few years, I could even start to understand the locals through their thick Gaelic accents.

Pitlochry today is a bustling tourist town and has been welcoming visitors for over 170 years. The name comes from the Gaelic "Pit Cloich Aire", meaning "place of the Sentinel Stone" and it was originally a Pictish settlement. Two Sentinel stones survive today, one in the grounds of Tigh na Cloich and the other in the garden at Northlands. The whole area is rich in standing stones, stone circles and ancient sites, the most famous being the magnificently carved Dunfallandy Stone which dates back 1,200 years. https://www.pitlochry.org/visitor-info/history.html
There were gardens and beautiful flowers everywhere. These were particularly insane.
We stopped by the delicatessen for lunch. it was as delicious as i expected it would be.

Nice castle dude. I have no idea what castle that is, or even if you can go to see it. We sadly did not have near enough time in this beautiful city. I guess I'll have to go back some time.
This is a great place to go for a hike if you are ever in this area.
One of the most photographed areas in Scotland, Queen Victoria is said to have remarked that the spectacular view was named after her, when she visited the area in 1866. However, it has also been suggested that the view was in fact named after King Robert the Bruce’s wife, Queen Isabella of Scotland, over 550 years earlier. visitscotland.com
