Travel: Cappadocia - Erosion Perfection
@jeanelleybee 's Chocolate Hills inspired me to crate this post.
Just like Chocolate Hills , Cappadocia is also a very underrated place and is little know by a lot enthusiastic travellers.
Cappadocia is located in Turkey, in the heart of Anatolia. I have never encountered any steemians from Turkey and have never seen a post about the country. I would like to share some of what my country has. Hope you enjoy it.
Cappadocia is home to the one of the two oldest sculptors known. These sculptors use earth as raw material and use erosion as a tool. They have many masterpieces, one of it having its place in 7 Natural Wonders list. Namely it is the Grand Canyon.
If you are wondering about the sculptors, they are simply wind and water.
Wind worked on its Cappadocia project shaping the huge land bit by bit over many years. As a result presented us one of a kind rock formations and a lot of caves in which people dwelled for thousands of years.
Here you can see Pasabag region of Cappadocia, these are carefully crafted formations by wind.
In Cappadocia you can go take baloon tours, hike, visit museums, visit the caves which were used as churches, and drink some nice wine. _ some hotels have world class wine cellers in which the wine is stored in naturally formed underground caves- Cappadocia gives you all it can offer, it is a nice setting for a romantic trip, great location for photographers and also perfect for hikers and nature lovers.
Finally I want to end the post with a picture of one of the many cave hotels in the region.
An exciting photos!
