Stayed at Godzilla Hotel in Tokyo🔥
Hey guys, this is @ramengirl.
Today I want to share with you my experience of
staying at Gracery hotel in Shinjuku (aka. Godzilla hotel)!
You can see this big Godzilla shape from the Kabuki Street
which the busiest street in Shinjuku.
There is Toho Cinemas at the bottom of the building
and Gracery hotel at the upper part of the bulidng.
There is a really famous Takoyaki place called 'Gintako' on the first floor
so I recommend you to have some Takoyaki and draft beer before you check in! ;)
Do you like Godzilla?
Actually, I've heard of Godzilla a lot but I've never watched the movie before.
After staying at the Godzilla hotel, I'm really curious about the movie!
Hotel Gracery decorated their front floor with Godzilla movie posters,
and you can also buy a lot of Godzilla goods at the front as well.
Not only that, you can see the Godzilla closest!!
You can see the performances that Godzilla cries every hour from 12:00 pm :)
Hotel Gracrey's biggest advantage is the location.
It only took a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station which is the center of Tokyo.
If you stay here you will be surrounded by lots of restaurants, bars, karaoke, game center, and more!
In fact, the hotel was a bit expensive, but the room was super small,
but small hotel room is really common in Tokyo so it didn't bother me at all.
There was a bathtub in the room even though the room was super small,
I loved to use this bathtub! It helped me to get relaxed after walked all day!
I could see the night view of Shinjuku from the room! It was so beautiful :)
I had Japanese Sake which I got for Seven Eleven with this beautiful view haha.
I've heard if you stay the other side you can see the Godzilla from your room!
The hotel building was so big so I could be easily found the hotel
so I didn't have to worry about losing the direction!
Hotel Gracery was a hotel with all pros and cons,
but I think the location was really the best!
Especially if you are traveling for a short time in Tokyo,
Hotel Gracery would be the perfect choice for you ;)

Sounds like a great idea for a hotel theme. I was just a little disappointed that it didn't continue into your room (not that I'm a great godzilla fan).
You thought the room was small? It couldn't be that small if it could comfortably fit a double bed in it. Some of the rooms in the gaijin houses I stayed in were six tatami. But then they were dirt cheap.
I used to love Shinjuku and Ikebukuro. Of course, half the Yamanote line was great so long as you were able to avoid Gotanda. The things I got up to in Shinjuku....
Yes, I forgot how small everything in Tokyo!! >_<
But like you said the room was super comfy and I liked Godzilla so much!!

I'm from japan but I didn't know that Godzilla hotel. I like how the bathroom is clean and looks new! I love gintako!!! Their takoyaki balls are big and crispy outside !! You are making me hungry for takoyaki balls ;)
I know right? I can eat Gintako forever! Hahaha it's so yummy :)

Godzilla is such an interesting cultural phenomenon I love how it endures there.
