The symbol of the capital of Kazakhstan - Astana.
The monument embodies the idea of the Kazakh people of the universe.

According to the legend, Baiterek is the Tree of life, in its high crown of the sacred bird, Samruk, has postponed the Golden egg – the sun that gives life and hope. But the roots of the tree hidden dragon Aydahar, who wants to eat the egg.
The monument personifies the eternal struggle between good and evil.

The height of the monument is 97 meters, which symbolizes the year 1997 when Astana was declared the new capital of Kazakhstan.
On the top there is a large glass ball with a diameter of 22 meters and weighing 300 tons.

In the underground part there are cafes, aquariums and a mini gallery "Baiterek".
