Nowhere Is Home
Recently I found myself looking at Cloud Culpepper and noticed that he was looking at me with the same stars in his eyes. We had become bored with our surroundings in Arkansas and we both missed the thrill of traveling and hiking as nomadic creatures.
We jumped up to our feet and Cloud took out his backpack then I howled with exitment as I watched my friend pack up for a what appeared to me as a long journey. Next I approached the door and I howled even louder to share my joy that consumed us both.
We left our little tiny house that was holding the chains of our destiny by circumstance and I was listening to Cloud singing songs of freedom and adventure. Then we walked to the end of the road and on to the next road and so forth. It was a nice day and not a worry at first but it soon became apparent that the pain was to much for my friend to take. The day was a little adventurous but it was obviously not going to go on for another day.
My loyalty is impeccable by all means and measures and I'll stand by him always.
So for now I wait until my best friend is ready for the next adventure and isn't hurting anymore because he and I are one of the same in the eyes of mother earth.
