I spent last Christmas in Guangxi, China, and got to see the 700 year old Longji Rice Terraces.....

So my girlfriend and I (both Canadians living in Shanghai) decided to escape the cold (and bad air) and head south over Christmas last year. We chose Guangxi as we'd both never been, and it's usually fairly mild in the winter.

Of course when we get there, they're having an unseasonable cold spell which meant temperatures hovering around freezing and rainy the whole week! Of course, once we started exploring,

we totally forgot about the weather and had a great time.
