Suzhou China Day 3

It was a very clear day today and the view from my hotel was amazing. It is still hard to comprehend that so many people live here- Suzhou is home to 12 million. Most of the tan colored buildings are apartment buildings and we estimated they are all close to 50 floors with about 750 apartments per building. If you assume 2 people per apartment, then each building holds about 1500. It's funny, but my hometown could be housed in 4 of those buildings!

Today we also went to a business meeting near Ningbo. We crossed a bridge that is approximately 35km long. The team said that before the bridge was built it took nearly 6 hours to get to this location. With the bridge, the travel time is only 2 and a half hours. Of course in this area, too, there are many of the same apartment buildings.
