Seychelles

The Seychelles is an archipelago of islands and a country I the Indian Ocean. It consists of 115 islands and lies just 1500km off the coast of Africa. It lies close to Madagascar and Mauritius and has a population of 92000. Most of the islands are uninhabited and are dedicated to being nature reserves.

The capital of the Seychelles is Victoria. The main languages spoken are English and French. The currency is the Seychelois rupee.

The largest island is known as Praslin.

The Seychelles is considered a tropical rainfall forest. The climate is equable though humid. The coolest months are July and August with temperatures of 24°C and may to November is the most pleasant time of the year, so if you're planning a holiday here this is the time to do it. March and April are the hottest months but the temperature doesn't really exceed 31°C.

In the Seychelles there is diving, snorkeling and hiking to do. There is also lots of water sports to do and spas to attend. There is plenty of natural surroundings to explore and take in. The Seychelles has white sandy beaches and turquoise colored waters which make it such a beautiful place to visit.
