Siam Kempinski Bangkok - An amateur review

My family and I had a Christmas trip to Bangkok where we were staying at Siam Kempinski.

I booked a limo transfer to and from the airport and both drivers were attentive, safe and polite.

There was a little hiccup on the arrival of the hotel. We were supposed to be picked up and greeted by one of the red-dress girl who would do the check in for us, but we were left alone at the lobby and I walked up to the check in counter. I thought it would have been done in the executive lounge, an improvement should be in place to sort out the confusion.

The executive room had some notable wear and tear here and there and I could spot some smears of stains in some areas. Perhaps it’s some seven years old, but the Managment should pay attention to facility maintenance and cleanliness. Another improvement here.

Despite the problems, breakfast was awesome, particularly made to order eggs and pancakes. Terribly sorry that I have darkened my boys face for his privacy.

Better still, the hotel enjoys an excellent location where major shopping facilities are within stones throw and buggies take residents back and forth between the hotel and these shopping facilities.

The hotel is family friendly; it’s kids centre I think is second to none in Bangkok. It is open daily from 9 to 6. There are staff looking after kids who can make new friends and enjoy lots of fun and activities among themselves and also with the staff. Parents can drop off kids there and then enjoy themselves doing some shopping or in the spa. I certainly did more than shopping and spa, I had a cooking lesson at Issaya and a hair cut at Turefitt and Hill

Staff there were absolutely helpful and courteous, specifically those stationed at the executive lounge. This is one of the strengths the hotel is proud of.

The location, kids club and staff friendliness being three attractions of the hotel , my family and I will definitely return to and stay at Siam Kempinski again on the next trip to Bangkok.
