Multi-colored rocks in China

These beautiful rocks are in China and a few years ago they entered the six most picturesque landscape formations of the Celestial Empire. The rocks are located near the city of Zhangye in the National Geological Park. Constantly thousands of tourists from all over the world come here to enjoy this amazing place. First you might think that these are painted pictures, but this is the result of sandstone deposits and other minerals, which for 24 million years formed the miracle of nature.

The best period for visiting is from June to September. The most attractive kind of landscapes are acquired at dawn and before sunset - at this time the shades of rocks are continuously changing.
