Visiting Zaragoza

Dear Steemit friends,

Today I would share with you my stay in Zaragoza the final stop of my trip in northern Spain. Another city full of history and architecture.
I would start with a picture taken by night in the old center.

That's the basilica of our lady of Pillar the main church in Zaragoza a beautiful mix between romanesque, gothic and baroque architecture. Actually I was lucky, have a picture in the bridge (Puente de Piedra) with beautiful weather and a part of moon visible behind me.

In the next picture if front of you see a tower. It's still the Plaza de Pillar and that is " La Seo de el Salvador" a magnificient cathedral (Seo in Spanish) with again a mix of baroque, gothic and romanesque architecture.

Walking through the narrow streets in the old center I found this attractive wall. On the right side you have the church of Santa Maria Magdalena. I could not go inside because of working on progress.

Aljaferia is another important monumental building in Zaragoza. Actually it was rebuilt and nowadays is one of the best examples of local architecture (Mudéjar) in Zaragoza. ( I am not very visible in this picture sorry about that)

I took some pictures of how the building keeps arabic architecture.

And how we consider it very elegant. You may "get lost" inside such beauty and refinement.

The building also include a room for "the parlament" of the region Aragon. But I could not go inside.
