I have been last year to that region of Spain (including Pamplona) but the end of July in a friend of mine's town where they have a similar tradition but with cows. I did not run you were brave enough to run with bulls . I think you had fun :):) Did you taste the local liquor Pacharan?
I would like to visit the region when there isn't the fiesta to really experience the local culture. I didn't try that. I've never heard of it. I love Spanish food and drink and hope to visit again soon.
