Incredible India! #Golden Temple Amritsar Punjab

Today I show you my travel through another famous location in India. Sri Harmandir Sahib better know as the golden temple. It is situated in Amritsar the capital Punjab. An Indian state situated on the north close to the boarder with Pakistan and approximately 450km far from New Delhi the Indian capital.
The complex of the golden temple has been nominated as Unesco World Heritage. And it is one the most visited sites in whole India.

This religious complex was built between the 14th and the 15th century A.C. The most important is the sanctum in a half exagonal platform in middle of the pool. It has two levels and its architecture is an unique coevolution of Muslim and Hindu styles. The ceiling is decorated with precious stones and covered by a foil of gold. The gold cover also the dome and the panels are in white marble. Both temple and the pool are surrounded by a white marble pavement and four entrance gates.

The temple has only one entrance through a paved road.

It is not only the most important of pilgrimage site of Sikhism religion but also symbol of religion egalitarianism. The site is open to everybody despite their religions. Many worshippers are coming from all over the world. The only requirements to be allowed in are to have the head and shoulders covered. The shoes and shorts are forbidden.

To conclude I noticed that the water of the pool and all the pavements around it were very clean.

Inside the pool they let fishes living. That's synonym of very good maintenance inside this site.
