Barneville - Carteret : seafood paradise

When you're in Normandy in France, a day trip to one of the villages along the coastline is a must. We opted for Barneville Carteret. This town in the North west of Normandy offers the perfect mix of the ultimate empty beach walk and the ideal restaurant experience.

We started with a walk on the Cap de Carteret up to the beach "Vieille eglise". From there you can see the Brittish islands of Jersey and Guernsey...

...we had some breathtaking views and embraced the moment of having this beautiful beach just for ourselves.

...we ended up in restaurant "Le Cap", were we had a massive seafood platter which included lobster, king crab, oysters, shrimps, clams etc. Combined with some excellent white wine, it took us more than 2hrs to finish it.
