Yes, that`s me.
Other continent. Other times.

That year, to put it into perspective:

• A 9.0 magnitude earthquake stroke 130 km (80 miles) east of Sendai, Japan, triggering a tsunami killing thousands of people and causing the second worst nuclear accident in history
• Fidel Castro resigned from the Communist Party of Cuba's central committee after 45 years of holding the title
• Osama bin Laden, the suspected mastermind behind the September 11 attacks and the FBI's most wanted man was killed by US special forces in Abbottabad, Pakistan
• Norway is the victim of twin terror attacks, the first a bomb blast targeting government buildings in central Oslo, second a massacre at a youth camp on island of Utøya
• CERN scientists announce their discovery of neutrinos breaking the speed of light

More over:

• Facebook "The social network" was still privately owned and employed little less than 300 employes and was still based in the Stanford Research Park, Palo Alto.
• Steve Jobs was still up and running and about to launch the second version of his Ipad
• Bitcoin was still valued at 0.78$ and widely unknown (sadly also by me).
• Steem wasn't yet even a dream, although @dan Larimer was beginning to lay its fundaments.

Para ponerlo en perspectiva. En el año 2011:

• Un terremoto de magnitud 9 con epicentro a 130 km al este de Sendai, Japon, causaría un tsunami matando a miles de personas y causando el segundo accidente nuclear más grave de la historia.
• Fidel Castro dejaría el comité central del partido comunista cubano, después de ostentar el título durante 45 años.
• Las fuerzas especiales del ejercito americano eliminarían a Osama Bin Laden.
• Noruega fue víctima de lal atentado terrorista más grave en la historia del país: La masacre de la isla de Utøya
• Los científicos del CERM anunciarían el descubrimiento de neutrinos rompiendo la velocidad de la luz.

Y también:

• La red social Facebook aún no había salido a bolsa, contaba con poco más de 300 empeados y aún tenía sus oficinas en el Parque de investigación tecnológica Standford en Palo Alto.
• Steeve Jobs aún estaba vivo y a punto de lanzar su segundo ipad.
• El bitcon apenas superaba los 0.78$ y no era apenas conocido (desgraciadamente para mi tampoco).
• Steem no era ni siquiera un sueño aunque Dan Larimer ya estaba empezando a asentar sus fundamentos
