My Trip to Sipiso-Piso Waterfall

Hello steemian's...

Today I share the story of my journey with brother and friends to Sipiso-Piso Waterfall. Sipiso-piso Waterfall is one of natural attractions are quite far from where I live, located in region Tongging village, Karo District, North Sumatra. Geographically, area Tongging Village is located on the lower plains, while Sipiso-piso Waterfall itself is hilly region. The waterfall is located at an altitude of about 800 meters above sea level and is surrounded by beautiful hills.

Originally, the name of the waterfall comes from the word meaning Piso who had a knife, this is because of the swift water falling considered like blade with a sharp knife. Haha .. glance sure why we think name originated from the knife, why not be named according to the name of his village, well that's custom of Batak Karo highly viscous. For trip to the location Sipiso-piso Waterfall we go to about 3 hours by motorcycle. Yes, ‘cause this journey is quite far away and the terrain that we will take are inclines, so from before days we've been preparing for everything from supplies of clothing, food, camera and don’t forget to prepare motorcycle for driving safety condition.

My friend and I set off in the morning at 5 am, it’s we do to avoid congestion that occurs, it feels annoyed if stuck in traffic... haha so vent. Gratitude for our journey doesn’t happen constraints, my friend and I ended up location. Arriving at location Sipiso-piso Waterfall we especially enjoyed beautiful scenery, such as around other tourist areas. Before enjoying cool Sipiso-piso Waterfall close, we had to pass along ridge with a small staircase that has been provided and the steps numbered a thousand pieces. Wtf..?? Definitely will be exhausted, but it didn’t make us discouraged, we started walking together with occasional breaks.

Arriving at waterfall, we were amazed to see the high hills around the waterfalls that coincided with a roar and cool splash of thousands of water droplets reflected from point of the fall of waterfall, Due Sipiso-piso Waterfall has a height of about 120 meters before water flows into Lake Toba.

For a tourist, facilities waterfall region can be said to have been quite supportive. Especially inn became one of the important things for tourists who want to spend the night, it can easily find various hotels around the village Tongging from the ordinary to the middle and upper. A wide variety of culinary is also available to fill the stomach after water play, especially the grilled fish with Sambal Andaliman Batak Karo appetizing. There is also a gift or souvenir for gifts to friends and family at home being sold by the seller souvenir of Tanah Karo is located area around.
