Our Life Story | Chapter 35 – Thank you Steemit, you made this possible!

Steemit is like the gift that keeps on giving. Besides having this great community, loads of interesting stories and until now acting as a great investment, Steemit made everything in this post possible. 

For those who are following us and reading our life story for a while now know that we have been travelling through the states for the last 5 week. Most of the nights we spend on campgrounds scattered throughout the beautiful nature the USA has to offer. 

We are definitely enjoying all the nights we spend outside but once in a while you get the cravings for a bit more luxury, and boy oh boy….    

It’s luxury that we found, all payed for by Steemit!   

We usually aren’t the materialistic types, but I can’t say we don’t like luxury. After spending 2 nights sweating like crazy in our tent we we’re longing for an airconditioned room and so the search for a hotel in Miami started. Just as we thought, a lot of hotels we’re fully booked.  

We did find a 5 star hotel in the middle of downtown Miami and before we knew it we booked a very luxuries hotel called Beaux arts, located on the upper floors of the Marriot hotel.  

Sure, we could pay this way too expensive hotel from our saved money but just last week I powered down 500 Steem and thought it might be a good idea to sell this and get some money back from my earlier investment. With this powerdown we were able to pay for 2 nights in this hotel and even have a nice dinner. 

Fully armed with our smelly camping outfits and flip flops on our feet we stepped in and were greeted by a bell boy who carried our luggage for us. He brought us up to the 39th floor where we got a personal check-in. The service we got was so far off from what we are used to that it almost felt uncomfortable. We felt like royalty´s. 

The room was filled with over the top electronics like curtain´s that opened and closed with a remote control, a mirror with a tv inside and a whirlpool in our bathroom. There was even a personalized iPad in the room that greeted us with our names on it.

Not to forget the huge television on the wall with an awesome Bang & Olufsen sound system through the whole room. This was the first time we ever had a hotel room with such luxury.

This was a great experience and a lovely way to discover downtown Miami, who knows what the price of Steem will do in the future. Maybe we will get the chance to do these things more often. 

If so, you won’t hear us complaining haha
