Hey Steemians!

Ever heard of Key West? It is one of the most beautiful spots one can ever visit in their entire life! Key West is located in South Florida, the very end of the land, it is a home to southernmost point of the North America, and the 0 Mile, kind of where the Overseas Highway begins or let’s say the ending of US1. 3 and a half hours drive from Miami.

I have moved to Key West back in October 2019, it is a beautiful place although I don’t like the weather being too hot here in Florida!

In Key West, you can see roosters everywhere on the streets, giant iguanas and lizards. Few days ago, there was a snake in my backyard, that kind of freaked me out though. However, with that being said, it was the first time for me in 7 months. They are not always around. Haha, not much of a relief though.

I wanted to share beautiful pics that I took just yesterday and today,

Here in Key West, sunsets are remarkable, watching them is a great activity to do. Here are plenty of watersports, as well as skydiving parasailing etc. You can go on a short boat trip that has a glass bottom and see lovely creatures.

Duval Street, is basically a fun world, just get your best outfit on(unless you get drunk and spill drinks all over) on a saturday night, and get lost in the recreational world of Key West, many bars and clubs are home to crazy stories here. Most of the places being open until the morning is a big plus!

If you like live music, this is definitely a place to be, while you are walking down on the street, your ear will not witness any silence, from county music to jazz, you can hear many beautiful genres.

Key West is famous with its conchs too! But we will enlarge this topic on an upcoming post!

As per public transportation, I would like to make a point and mention that a tourist will hardly ever need a public transportation since it is a small town and the Old Town has everything you will want to see, however, the most beautiful public beach which is named Smathers(you will find the photos below). Nevertheless, if one should need a public transportation it is very handy I would say, considering the majority of the USA, and compared to other small summer cities, Key West is way ahead, you have buses going to everywhere in the city including to the other Keys for just 2-4 dollars. In addition to that, the best service for tourists is, the shuttle bus that makes a loop around the old town of the city and it is for free operating every 15 minutes! Bus drivers are super friendly, what else? :)
