Places You Visit That Were Once a Warzone

Sometimes it is good to know where we stand.

Ever feel like you are feeling the historical atmosphere of a place when travelling? Like you go to a city and instantaneously imagine things that might have happened at the exact same places so many years ago. To be more specific, for example going to Rome, walking around the Colosseum and the castle that is fairly near the Colosseum, imagining the people of Rome with the iconic costumes of the era.
