World Ride Ep.18 - Exploring Chengdu, China
Hey steemit friends, Debasish (Debu) here, as you all know we are in Chengdu, China and today we will be going out to explore the city! If you guys are new to the blog then just a quick recap, me and my friend (DJ) are on a world ride. We started from India, then covered Myanmar, Thailand and Laos and now we are in China.
After having breakfast we went with our guide (Leo) to the Chendu panda base, it's a beautiful place with lots of green space. There are lots of panda to see and even baby pandas in incubators. I really love pandas, I think they are the cutest and friendly animals in the world.
We also got to see some red pandas!
Later we went to the Panda Scientific Discovery Centre where you can get to know about the reasons why pandas are going extinct. So what this institute does is they extract the sperm from the male panda and inject it in the female panda so they reproduce. You can learn about the whole progression from a baby panda to a full grown one.

Then we went to search for my GoPro mic at a local mall but still couldn't find it anywhere.
Later we went to see the Shu Feng Ya Yun Sichuan opera. This opera house is located inside the Cultural Park at Quintai Road. The performance was smooth, colourful and a delight to watch. There is traditional Chinese opera, acrobatics, hand shadow puppets, fire breathing and the fantastic face changing section at the end. You can check out the show in the video.
Chengdu is one of the most culturally rich and beautiful cities I have seen in China till now. If you come to Chengdu, don't miss the panda park and the opera show!
