Thanks, @simonleach :) It must've been exciting to stay in Japan during that period. It was a period of rapid modernization if i remember my history textbooks correctly.
Yes that was another time ... the Emperor was God.
I would like to visit myself and follow some of the places my grandad went to :)
What a great travel idea. I'd love to do the same! There was a lot more adventure to travel back then, with the whole train and ship experience. :)
