Sabang Island

Sabang is an island in the west at Indonesia. Another name is Pulau Weh. From Banda Aceh we can go there by ship or airplane. Sabang have two season dry and the rainy season. Sabang City area surrounded by Malaka Strait in the North, in the South Indian Ocean, the Strait of Malaka in the Indian Ocean in the East and the West Sabang.

My first experience gone to Sabang with ship on 2013 with my temple friends. The beach is popular at Indonesia. The color of the water is very clean, so we can see the fish at the water. Just need 45 minutes with the fast ship, 1 until 2 hours with slow ship. If we kind of people seasick, we need take some medicine before take a trip with the ship. We can rent a car to make trip at Sabang island. Don’t forget bring camera, the scenery is mostly beautiful at there.

• Pulau Weh Dive Resort, 2 kilometers from Tugu Nol Kilometer (Kilometer Zero Monument) of Tourism Iboih center.

When snorkeling at Rubiah, we can ask the guide to take picture under water. Snorkeling we need use snorkel, fins, swimming glasses. But be careful with the jellyfish. When go to there we need use small ship or speedboat. The underwater view at there is beautiful.

Gapang beach on Weh Island is also one of the most crowded beach visited by tourists, from local tourists and foreign tourists. Moreover, the beach is always attracted the attention of photographers to take pictures of activities. The beach is situated in the Iboih, Sukakarya District, Sabang
