I think you're smart for listening to the warnings about not going on a bus near dark and stuff by yourself, tho!
That stuff is real. Literally... in Mexico we were warned the same thing and several girls I now got attacked simply for walking home EARLY...like 8pm, when it was getting dark.
I almost got attacked also for the same reason, but managed to get out of the situation due to running + fortunate circumstances.
They weren't even out partying or anything. Glad you got the chance to go out!
