Iguazu Falls are located in Argentina within the Iguazu National Park, about 20 kms from the city that bears the same name. It is consecrated among the 7 wonders of the world in 2011, in the year 1984, UNESCO declared it as a World Heritage Site.

Iguazu means Aguas Grandes in the Guaraní language, these Falls are the most visited attraction of the province of missions in Argentina and the Brazilian state of Paraná.

It has a permanent fall, by segmented blocks with a height of 82m' and a width of 2,700 mts, its number of fall is 275 being the greater the Throat of the Devil with 80 mts.

Iguazú was discovered by a Spaniard named Álvaro Nunez Cabeza de Vaca. In his expedition he made a journey through the Atlantic Ocean to the Assumption of Paraguay, when he spotted the imposing Iguazu Falls and named them "Santa Maria Falls".

The ethnic group belonging to that region is the Mbyá - Guarani; they are a branch of the western Guaraní people that live in Paraguay, southern Brazil and in the Provinces of Argentina. This ethnic group was missionary because it was evangelized by the Jesuits.

The name of Jumps "Santa Maria" was replaced by its primitive name Guarani Iguazú.

Its fauna is composed of 450 species of birds, varieties of fish, 80 mammals among them: yacarés, turtles, herons and fish.

For the jaguar, tapir, anteater animals endangered the waterfall represents a haven.
