Travel Journal: Sardinia May 2019 (Cagliari, Pula, Nora)

in #travel5 years ago

Me and my girlfriend travelled to Sardinia this month. As a conclusion of my job as a DJ, we took a flight on Monday and returned back to Germany on Friday. We had some great weather, good food and a nice hotel. The beaches were not crowded at all because it is not very busy at this area at this time of the year. Here are some photos of our trip:

We stopped at Koblenz (Germany) the day before our flight left and booked a cheap hotel room next to the airport.

First view of the Mediterranean Sea after our flight to Cagliari. It is an Italian municipality and the capital of the island of Sardinia, an autonomous region of Italy. Cagliari's Sardinian name Casteddu literally means castle. It has about 155,000 inhabitants, while its metropolitan city (including Cagliari and 16 other nearby municipalities) has more than 431,000 inhabitants. According to Eurostat, the population of the Functional urban area, the commuting zone of Cagliari, rises to 476,974. Cagliari is the 26th largest city in Italy and the largest city on the island of Sardinia.

Empty beaches and not many tourists around! This area is not busy during springtime and we had some time for ourselves.

We rented a Fiat Panda to be able to drive around the coasts in the area. What a great view during the late hours of the day!

During a great vacation, and travelling in general, awesome food cannot be left out. Here are some photos of our food:

I think that the photos are talking for themselves. We had a great time and will be visiting another part of Italy soon!
