Daytrip to Cologne: Food & Bloc Party live in concert!
On Thursday, my girlfriend and me went to Cologne to spend the day with three other friends. We wanted to enjoy a sunny day and go to the Bloc Party concert at night.
After a 200 kilometer drive (125 miles), we arrived at Cologne and grabbed some snack. I ordered an Avocado-Salmon-Toast, some lemonade and a coffee:
Still a little hungry, we grabbed some burgers at a place called Beef Brothers. Delicious burgers and a nice ambient:
I used to eat at their place at Düsseldorf before and I love their burger called Ol’ Dirty Bastard: beef, tomatoes, pickles, red onions, blue cheese, bacon, chips and homemade dill sauce!
Our main reason to travel to Cologne this day was the mentioned concert by the band Bloc Party. Their album Silent Alarm was released in 2005 and on this tour they are playing this album again. The crowd was awesome and the old songs took us back in time. Many old memories were coming back to life!
