Last summer I had the opportunity to visit the magnificent Cave of the Angitis River Cave. This cave is located in the prefecture of Drama. More specifically, it is 23 km northwest of the city.
Πέρσι το καλοκαίρι είχα την ευκαιρία να επισκεπτώ το καταπληκτικό Σπήλαιο του ποταμού Αγγιτη. Το σπήλαιο αυτό, βρίσκεται στο νομό Δράμας. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, βρίσκεται σε απόσταση 23 χλμ. ΒΔ από την πόλη.
At the bottom of the cave flows the Angitis River.The cave is open to a length of 500 meters, while it extends over 21 kilometers in length.The course is magical.It is built on a bridging path that allows the visitor to cross it between the intensely beautiful stalactites.Fantastic is also the exit of the river through the mountain, at the base of a cave (wheelhouse)
Στη βάση του σπηλαίου κυλάει ο ποταμός Αγγίτης. Το σπήλαιο είναι επισκέψιμο σε μήκος 500 μέτρων ενώ συνολικά εκτείνεται σε μήκος άνω των 21 χιλιομέτρων. Η πορεία είναι μαγική. Γίνεται πάνω σε ένα γεφυρωτό μονοπάτι που επιτρέπει τον επισκέπτη να το διασχίσει ανάμεσα από τους εντατικά όμορφους σταλακτίτες. Φανταστική είναι και η έξοδος του ποταμού μέσα από το βουνό, στη βάση ενός σπηλαίου (αίθουσα του τροχού).
Entering the cave I felt the sensible difference in temperature.I was impressed to look at what nature can create on the earth.An odorous atmosphere!Also, for the first time in my life I saw bats.Unforgettable experience.
Μπαίνοντας στο σπήλαιο ένιωσα την αισθητή διαφορά της θερμοκρασίας.Έμεινα εντυπωσιασμένος να κοιτάω τι μπορεί να δημιουργήσει η φύση στα έγκατα της γης. Απόκοσμη ατμόσφαιρα!Επίσης, για πρώτη φορά στην ζωή μου είδα νυχτερίδες. Αξέχαστη εμπειρία.
Ok, this is the first time I hear of this cave. I will probably visit it this weekend thanks to your post. Are you from that area ?
