Now as we’re getting to know some of the chateaux in Loire Valley, we might want to spend few nights in the region to be able to explore and discover the area.

Here are two magical chateau-hotels where you could stay in Loire Valley, with comfort and in style.

Domaine des Hauts de Loire

An elegant bourgeois country living deep in the forest, this hotel used to be a hunting lodge of Chateau d’Onzain located nearby. This hotel is situated around 45 mins drive from Tours City and only 30 mins drive from Chateau de Cheverny and Chateau de Chenonceau. Photo courtesy of Domaine des Hauts de Loire

Domaine de la Tortinière

It is a favorite of Audrey Hepburn when she visited Loire Valley. It’s a family chateau from the 19th century and it was built during French Second Empire. It was transformed into a chateau-hotel in 1955. Since then it becomes popular with a long guest list, which includes the French politician Georges Pompidou, the French writer Françoise Sagan, the French actor Gérard Depardieu and the like.
