it's so in 1923 that this summit was climbed by three Mountaineers French: the Marquis of segonzac, Vincent Berger and Hubert dobeau. it's all in 1938, that the Alpine club French section Casablanca decided to build a refuge called neltner, named Mr Louis neltner, one of the best geologists and Mountaineer of the time, for course have a fixed base at the foot of the North slope of toubkal.
1997 architect Claude Verdugo proposed project restructuring of refuge, finished 22/11/1999, bringing a new name: refuge of toubkal (3207m), was open to the public with 86 beds tourists, 20 beds muleteers, very comfortable, modern, has listening to all your needs. visit US you won't be disappointed.
