RE: TRAVEL: CREATIVE TIPS TO EARN MONEY - BROKEN TRAVELER EDITION

in #travel6 years ago

It sure is different and incredible, both for the host and the guests. Wow, they have a farm in Portugal? What do they produce?

My dad once bought some books about Olive trees from Portugal, but we could never produce on our lands, I don't know why he gave up on the idea.

Sort:

Yes and it was a cattle enterprise, but it's no longer due to family reasons. The work was hard and long, but worth it. Yet, there are just unforeseen circumstances.

Your father should have done it! Maybe you could start it yourself?

Of course, next semester I'll leave my work at the school to prepare for my next big adventure. I'll possibly spend some days at the ranch building stuff and talking about ranch life.

In our plans an earth oven.

Nice! We guess you're still keeping your adventures around South America? If you ever end up in Bangkok, Thailand and we're still around, give us a shout and we'll meet-up!

Looking forward to see what you make from your family's ranch.

Wow @travelling-two, thanks a bunch! I extend the same offer for you, If you guys ever come to Brazil it'll be a pleasure to meet you.

Yes, I'll spend some time around here for sure but I'm having some dreams about going to Europe and cycling over there too. Guess it's excitement from meeting so many great travelers here on Steemit.

There's some nice cycle routes in Europe and it will be an adventure to visit many countries in Europe with that mode of transport. 😊 Best of luck saving up and eventually realizing your dream. It can be possible with Steem!

YEahhhhh! Could be! Plans for short term are to reach at least 500 SP, then I'll see how it goes. If I find concistency I'll keep powering up 50% of my earnings and cashing 50% to pay for traveling expenses.
But that's a long way from here hahahaaha

Do you guys cash out? Is it possible to make a living?

Yes, same we are hoping to reach 500 SP and move that slider to give less of our voting power, but more votes to many. Cashing out is not in our best interest at the moment as we see this as our alt. savings account. We did cash out 5 Steem to Ether to become SMART, so it stayed in the crypto world, yet nothing physical.

Your plan of 50/50 is smart and we would do the same if we were relying solely on the platform as our income. Is it possible to make a living? Well, there's a handful of Steemians that are, but they hustle hard for the platform - engage in multiple disciplines from community building and engagement to entering in multiple daily contests and daily (if not 2-3 per day) non-contest articles. Also, diversifying into DSound for podcast, DTube/DLive for videos and posting on Steepshot will help. We saw that you don't want to post on Steepshot to interrupt your blog layout, so we would suggest to open another account and let that one be like your non-professional account where you post random quality posts and this one the professional one with more structure.

Yeah it's a lot of hard work, indeed.

For now I'm divided between the school and here, but I'll leave the school next semestre.
I'm trying to upgrade my photograph gear and maybe getting a gopro, but my paycheck is not helping and they are way too expensive in Brazil. With those I'll be able to expand the way to work and bring even more about the crazy trips.

I like your idea of having a second account, but would be much easier if there was an option to disable Steepshot from sending all the pictures to Steemit, don't know if that is a blockchain's issue or Steepshot's code.

But it's been only 6 months that I'm here, a long journey to go.
