Heard of Twin Lakes? Check Out Balinsasayao Twin Lakes Natural Park!

in #travel7 years ago

Enjoying mother nature while preserving and taking care of it is so much possible. In the Western Part of Dumaguete located at Negros Oriental Province of the Philippines, we can find a Natural Park where people can enjoy the panoramic view of which natives call the ”twin lakes”. This spot is surely a picture perfect one.

I spent Christmas roaming around Dumaguete City together with my family. Whenever we see a picture perfect view, we stop and take a snap. What’s more exciting than that?

Before reaching the destination, we trailed mountain ranges going to the western part of Dumaguete by riding a van. We stopped by in this area first and there you can see the awesome view we personally witnessed.

When we arrived at the place of Balinsasayao, there welcomed us their Visitor’s Center where we can listen to the Natural Park’s orientation and pay our entrance fees.

Entrance fees cost twenty pesos (₱20.00) for locals and fifty pesos (₱50.00) for tourists. And there you can see in the photo below that this place is truly a protected area.

When you try to roam in the surroundings of their Visitor Center, you’ll be amazed by the spot that nature will bring you. If you’re a nature lover, then I’m sure that you’d be wanting to get in here.

Balinsasayao’s lake near their visitor’s center. I’m thinking that this part of the area is so much suitable for family and group of friends picnic party. There’s nothing you can hear but the soothing sound of nature.

And of course, I’ll never forget to take a picture with the wondrous lake for me to show you my friends. The lake is surrounded by mountain ranges filled with trees.

But before that, remember the twin lakes I mentioned a while ago? We’re heading there now! Well but first, let’s take a short trekking going down the first lake.

It will take for almost 5 minutes to get to the first lake of the twin lakes. See the paths? You better wear some trekking attire if you’re planning to visit here, my friends.

And tadaaaah, I’m here! See no lake? Scroll for more below, so that you’ll do.

See better? Well, this is quite a wide lake and this is still one of the tein lakes. In these lakes, the locals and as well as the tourists can take their time in swimming, boating, and panoramic viewing.

Cottages are for free if you want to stay on but if you wanted to take a boat ride, then prepare two hundred fifty pesos (₱250.00) and that’s already good for 7 people.

A Photograph when I Rode the Twin Boat Crossing the Fist Lake

The boat is heading towards a tower across the first lake. Just to say that people goes to the tower across the first lake to be also amazed by the second lake.

Upon ducking to the mountain range where the tower is located, again, we also need to trekk more or less 6 minutes straight to reach to the tower.

It was quite tiring but the scenery is worthy of all the sweat.

Just the same right? That’s why they call it twins! Both their beauty are astonishing and refreshing. Very much worthwhile to seize the moment.

There’s no problem if you’re tired or hungry after the trekking, swimming and picture taking. Their restaurant got it all for you.

And of course, scrumptious foods! Who wouldn’t love those?

The photo below shows their sweet delicacy. They call it ”Toron”. It’s a chopped banana with jackfruit wrapped with a Lumpia Wrapper and deep fried together with sugar. This yummy stuff costs ten pesos (₱10.00) only.

They say that food is always the best way to end up a trip. For me? It’s buying some souvenirs for the ones that’re left. Souvenir shops are also available near the restaurant.

Let’s support these kinds of natural parks friends! And let’s always remember that ”As long as we’re taking care of mother nature, we’re taling care of ourselves”.

This trip is surely one of the best trips I had! Come and visit Dumaguete, Philippines to see more. I hope you enjoyed reading, friends! Lots of love! Merry Christmas!
