Home and magic.

Sometimes I miss everything about home. The comfort food, the familiarity, the summery clothes.

Where I'm from there aren't any seasons except rainy and sunny (and those aren't even seasons).

We eat chili with everything and I don't mean, the kind like Tex Mex. We literally eat chili peppers with everything.

Heck this is one of the joys of life I miss most. My semi Asian tongue misses this sweet sweet burning sensation 😅😅

I miss the multi cultural society we have, with all its types of fabric.

I miss the familiar smell of the ocean. And the yummy food that comes with it.

I miss my pets. My 2 lovely dogs. My tarantulas (yes I have 2).

I miss my piano, and the smell of my old books. My old comforter, my bolster.

I miss my sister. My friends, the parties we had.

I miss the kinds of food we could get, at any time, anywhere. Chicken biryani, mutton varuval, nasi lemak, sushi, Thai food, Chinese noodles, butter beef/chicken, beef jalfrezi, banana leaf rice.

Heck I even miss English. Most people I meet here don't speak English. Either for the lack of wanting to know the language or arrogance (I guess) 😅😅

I just miss home.

But is home really a dimensional place?? Or a place in your heart?? I'm deathly determined to make this my home. There is a certain magic.

The magic of new beginnings.

Here's to cobblestones and gargoyles.

And 50th century romanticism in the air.

And here's to the gothic era.
