in #travel5 years ago (edited)

Planning for a stress-free vacation? Do it with Chrisann Travel And Tours. This blog contains a sample itinerary that we provide for our clients who wants to experience the Island of Siargao. The packages we offer usually include:

-Roundtrip Airline Ticket
-Accommodation
-Roundtrip Transfer from Airport to Hotel
-Island Hopping w/ entrance fee
-Land Tour w/ entrance fee
-Round Trip Transfer during tours
-Optional Meals during tours: Boodle or packed
-Tour Guides that were also good at taking photos. And very trustworthy they will look out for your things while you enjoy swimming.

Airfares to Siargao from Manila cost around PHP7,000 when off-peak season(JULY-AUGUST). And around PHP12,000 to PHP15,000 during its peak season(NOVEMBER-JUNE). We advice early bookings or plan at least 3months ahead before your travel date for a good chance of getting cheaper rate from AIRLINE PROMOS.

Siargao Land Arrangement Package that excludes Airfare, you can get the package for as low as PHP5,000/per person. Depending on your travel date. The best advice I can give is to always book early!

4d3n Siargao Island Itinerary:

DAY01: ARRIVAL TO SIARGAO
Upon your arrival at Siargao Airport, meet your driver outside. Transfer to your accommodation, the ride is about 1 hour from the Airport. Check-in, discuss with the staff of Cavys Homestay about your call time for next day’s Siargao Land Tour. It’s important to plan everything the day before your tour. The low tides and high tides will surely affect your Itinerary. You have free breakfast and lunch during DAY 2 AND DAY 3. While you may request dinner and other meals at your own expense with Cavys.

DAY02: SIARGAO LAND TOUR

After breakfast, travel to Port Of Sugba Lagoon for 1 hour. Drop by at the top of Siargao’s Coconut Tree Road, enjoy the panoramic view of coconut fortress.

While on your boat to Sugba, pass by at the second biggest Mangroves system in the Philippines. Imagine emerald water as you get closer at the lagoon. Sugba is surrounded by green mountains where you can also try cliff diving. The diving board height is 3meters, just right for first-time cliff jumpers!
Activities that are available in Sugba Lagoon: Snorkeling, paddle boarding at your own expense.

Adventure is not over yet, here comes my favorite part of Siargao! From Port of Sugba Lagoon, the ride to Pilar Magpupungko is approximately 40mins. When the ocean is on its low tide, the reefs are seen naked above. Those will set as your floor to tidal pools. Watch out! As these rocks are really sharp, no joke! Make sure to wear aqua shoes to avoid getting cuts or bruises.
The tidal pools here will make your soul lost in awe. The unique beauty of Pilar Magpupungko is truly magical in the surface or even below. Do not miss to wander deeper, discover little caves and hidden ridge beneath these pools.
The beach of Pilar Magpupungko is long enough for a nice dip or if you’d just want to relax in the sand. Feeling hungry? Lots of restaurants can be found on the upper side of the beach. Where you can enjoy grilled seafood and fresh coconut while you just hang around and appreciate the ocean view.

Boodle Lunch at Pilar Magpupungko Tidal Pool, Siargao. MMMMM... Look at the LECHON!!

Heads up! Foods, drinks, and other services in Siargao were expensive than its usual price. Expect tourist price everywhere for everything. Better arrange your food ahead.

DAY03: ISLAND HOPPING

Travel from Homestay to Island Hopping port for about 5-10mins. Start with a quick stop at Naked Island, they called it that way because the island is a bare sandbar. No life could strive here and totally remote in the middle of the sea. Naked Island is pretty small, but the sand here is smooth and bright. Better visit in the Morning or before sundown. But if the plan is to lay down for a while do it at your next stop which is at Guyam Island.
For me, this is way better than the first island although the corners of the island were surrounded by rocks, its center is covered with coconut trees where you can find mats or duyan.

at Guyam Island, Siargao

They also have a Basketball court where boys could play with the locals. Spend your lunchtime at Daku Island, it’s the biggest among the other islands.

Daku itself is one Barangay. Just like Pilar Magpupungko, you will find restaurants that are perfect for some seafood feast with the gang. The beach area is wide and has turquoise water that you will surely love to swim on.

End of Island hopping tour is at Sohoton Cove, the place is famously known as a sanctuary of stingless jellyfish. You can take photos of them so do not forget to bring underwater camera to document your wonderful encounter with these lovely sea creatures. Sohoton is abundant water world with different caves underneath.

You just need to dive through tunnels and when the day is blessed with good weather and low tide. You may see 2 caves inside: Hagukan Cave and Magkokoob Cave which are impossible to reach during high tide.
*If you wish to visit Tayangban Cave you need to finish your Land Tour or Island hopping early. The cave is situated in Pilar, while out of way from Island Hopping port. Activities available there is cliff jumping, and canyoneering.

DAY04: IAO – MNL DEPARTURE

Free time for your own leisure, until pick-up for transfer to the Airport. You may visit Cloud 9, Boardwalk without entrance fee in the morning by riding Habal-Habal or Tricycle for PHP20.00 just like how I did during our 4th day. Activities available here is SURFING. It also has beach area where people could swim or go sunbathing for FREE.

Important Reminders Before Heading to Siargao Island:

  1. Unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, high tide/low tide, natural disasters, etc. someplace in the itinerary cannot proceed for safety reasons.
  2. The runway of Siargao Airport located in Del Carmen, Surigao Del Norte is short that only small propeller plane can land here. That's why Airlines usually cancel flights due to cloudy sky. Even the weather is not that bad at all, they do this for the safety of their passengers. Travel Insurance is a MUST!
  3. Do not forget to bring Aqua Shoes, Dry Bag, Flash Light, and First Aid Kit.

Our 4D3N SIARGAO PACKAGE is simple but comfortable. Want to arrange your own tour to Siargao with us? Email me your travel date and number of pax at [email protected]. Or if you have any special request for your tour I will be glad to give you our service and help you plan a stress-free vacation that you deserve. The rate will depend on your travel date as Airfare cost has no fixed price.
