Hidden Treasure

The Marquesas, simply one of the worlds most beautiful group of volcanic islands located in French Polynesia ( 1,371km from Tahiti). The landscape being densely forested by lush tropical jungles, breathtaking ridges and high mountains.

Being one of the most remote group of islands in the world, the Marquesas has very few tourist passing through with majority visiting while sailing. These remote islands are yet to be fully explored, so far the extent of incredible archeological findings reveal a vast history from evidence dating back to when the first settlers arrived.

The origin can be traced back to Taiwan and the southeast coast of China. There is strong belief that they migrated from there as they share a very similar culture, language, belief and physical similarities.

Small pockets of residents are scattered around each island living off the land and sea. Land animals run free and the sea is boasting with life. It is a great place to visit if you are interested in different cultures, have an interest in archeology, photography, have the love for adventures and being outdoors.

My time spent here will always stay with me.
