Travel in Argentina - Level: Homeland - The 'mate' tradition

Hello there Steemians!

Argentina is my home country, and for that, my favourite naturally.

It is wide with opportunities and landscapes, people here are warm and really (and I mean SO REALLY) exaggerated in every aspect: we are disgustingly generous, hot-heads, passionate, over-doers, loving, caring, party-people, family lovers... but mostly, we define ourselves as "uniquely perfects" (yeah, as you see, humbleness isn't one of the exaggerated treats we own).

We bond over a lot of things (seriously, almost anything is an excuse for us) - but mate is what we like to call: "Palabras mayores" (something like: 'senior words' - a statement of huge value - elite league words).

Despite what Uruguayans say, we believe mate wasn't meant to be drank alone.

My list of favorite places to drink some mate and bond with whoever could be around:

• My workplace
• A park
• A beach
• In front of a lake/the mountains
• At the airport
• In the car
• Anywhere I can share a nice conversation with anyone
