An Afternoon Stroll in Amsterdam
I was in Amsterdam earlier this week for a business workshop, which gave me a small window of opportunity to explore Amsterdam, before flying back home to London.
I took a Tram from my hotel which was a 20 minutes ride to Dam Square, which was the starting point for my afternoon stroll.
It was a bitterly cold afternoon with the added wind chill, despite the clear blue sky and the blazing sun, but I came prepared and wrapped up warm.
I had visited Amsterdam before and done all the touristy things, so what I really wanted to do is explore Amsterdam on foot and escape the hustle and bustle of the crowd near the Centraal Station area...
Fortunately in Amsterdam, this is quite easy to do, just walk through a couple of alley ways, brings you beautiful canal walkways...
So began a perfect afternoon stroll along Amsterdam's famous canal walkays
Despite the biting cold weather, the opportunity to admire the sites and sounds of central Amsterdam, was too good to pass up...
...And given everything is so accessible and minutes walk away, I was easily able to take in views of some of the historical Monuments and Landmarks as well :)
Amsterdam is famous and renown for many other things to see and do, but for me it is one of the best city, to explore and take in its charm and beauty by foot :)
