Acropolis - a symbol of Athens and Greece
The Acropolis is known as the symbol of Athens and Greece, and in fact of Western civilization.
It is rocky hill in the heart of modern Athens which has three wonderful temples that crowned the Acropolis and has been visiting from the 5th century BC.
The Parthenon is most exclusive and famous temple made of 58 columns that supported a roof and its decoration made by ornate pediments and a frieze.
The reputed Archaeological Promenade is located two and a half kilometer walkaway, which goes around the bottom of the Acropolis to connect it to other main attractive destinations of the city like the ancient Agora, Kerameikos, the Roman Forum, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus.
