COSTA DEL SOL COASTLINE - MEZQUITILLA
The province of Andalucia is blessed with a long coastline. Some twenty years ago, we often drove this coast line as highways were being built at that time.... one encountered heavy traffic since it was the only way to reach the towns along the coast. The pictures depict how quiet this road is along Mesquitilla, the town you pass-by going east to Torrox.
When the weather permits, many locals and tourists alike walk so many kilometers to stay fit along the coastline. Every town has banks to sit on to enjoy the waves or the sunset.
I love taking this National Road called N340 because it is so nice to see the Mediterranean Sea as well as pass-by the towns along the coastline. These towns used to be fishing villages and everything has improved since the European Union subsidized many road projects in Spain.
Think of visiting Andalucia to enjoy the sun, sea, wine and tapa as well as its culture.. you'll surely enjoy it here!
Thanks for reading and have a good start of the week ahead!
