GLOBAL VIPASSANA PAGODA (MUMBAI - MAHARASHTRA)
The Global Vipassana Pagoda is a Meditation Hall situated in Gorai, North-west of Mumbai, India. It is one of the 7 wonders of Maharashtra. It is a replica of the Shwedagon Pagoda in Myanmar which is claimed to be the oldest pagoda in the world.
The Global Vipassana Pagoda holds a world record as the biggest hallow stone structure without any pillars.

Though there are steps directly from an entrance to Pagoda. And At the ground level, there is the huge Bell tower and Gong Tower.
You can walk around the pagoda or spend some time, it is very well maintained. There is another small pagoda to the north, where an audio recording is played for 10mins and anybody can sit and meditate in batches.

Vipassana is a technique of meditation re-discovered by Gautam Buddha.
It has a meditation hall with guidance, a library, bookshop, art gallery where we get headphones to listen to the story of Buddha's life with their beautiful painting and a video room that plays the making of Pagoda.

And finally, there is a beautiful statue of Gautam Buddha in a garden, where you can sit and relax, just before leaving the Vipassana center.
