Travel For Love ❤
The Mission
||Liloan Port, Santander, Cebu||
August 2010, Arjay, my husband now, planned a trip to my hometown in Negros Oriental to formally ask my father's blessing for our marriage. Since we were both working in Cebu City that time, we need to travel by bus and by boat for a maximum of 4 to 5 hours to reach my home. We were accompanied by our two closest friends too. It was also a time for travel and adventure for the four of us since the three of them have not traveled to Negros Oriental. We were thrilled and excited!
We reached my home almost midnight and to our surprise electricity was out because of the recent typhoon. But we were able to managed the inconvenience. Morning came and we thought of a right time to talked to my father about our plan. My husband is a good cook, so he planned to prepare and cook food for lunch. My father loves vegetables. With that idea in mind, he prepared 'Pinakbet' and some other menu. To our surprise again we were out of LPG. LoL But he was patient enough to use our 'dirty kitchen', wherein he has to create fire out of wood and cook it there. It seems that fate was playing some games with our plans. Lol In fairness, the food he prepared were delicious and my father liked it. We had a sumptious meal. He had his moment while we were eating, he started to conversed with my Father and blurted out our plans. I was just silent and our friends too. We were just listening to them. We let him do all the talking. When He told my father that we were there to asked for his blessing, my father told him He should have brought his parents too on this event. He explained to him why his parents were'nt able to come and father was kind enough to understand. Questions were asked and pieces of advice were given. One would understand why. Fathers love their daughters. So they want what is best for them. It hold true for me and my father. By the way, my Father is a retired Police Officer and he is good in interogation. 😆😊 But my husband survived the test and we were given the blessing. And He had the biggest sigh of relief. LoL And the biggest smile of course! Mission accomplished!
