The Top 50 places I've been to: #25 Isla del Sol, Lake Titicaca
On the border between Peru and Bolivia extends the largest freshwater lake in South America, Lake Titicaca. Hop on a boat to the so called Sun Island and hike along the coast at an altitude of almost 4000 meters. And if the sky is clear you can see the snow-topped High Andes on the horizon. Truly spectacular.

Very nice images! Is Sun Island a bigger island to explore or rather for a day trip?
We spent one night - but it would also make for a nice day trip :-)
The last picture: Was it your holiday house? Ir looks so sweet and I really like to sleep in one of those , I slept in Yurts in Mongolia and Kazakhstan and it was also pretty cool :)
Not exactly this house, but a similar one :-) - I'd really love to go to central Asia in the foreseeable future.
